Maggie Sun is an inspector working for the Hong Kong PD under her father Commander Hsu Sun, none too pleased of his daughter's reckless nature. After a romantic evening with her boyfriend, Swiss journalist Nathan Randall, a breaking news story catches her eye on television. More anxious to get her hands dirty than spend the rest of her evening-off with her boyfriend, she rushes to the scene. When she arrives at the stand-off, she stumbles into a strange event linking the latest toy craze, wrist dragons, to the strange demonic monsters responsible for a warehouse massacre.
